HELPING THE COMMUNITY
At Portal Security, ESG is how we run our business every day. You trust us with your people, your buildings, and your reputation. We take that responsibility seriously.
Our environmental approach focuses on reducing impact through smarter operations. We use low-emission support vehicles. We cut paper through digital reporting. We issue sustainable uniforms. We manage waste on site. We monitor energy use across our operations and provide clear monthly performance reporting so you can see real progress.
Our social commitment starts with wellbeing. Your people are your front line. They are also ours. We invest in training, development, and long-term careers. We provide welfare support on and off site. Our managers stay visible and engaged. We build teams that feel valued, supported, and proud of the service they deliver.
We believe security should give back to the communities it protects. We support the Army Cadets. We stand behind Callum’s Cabin. We work with Home-Start. We back many other outstanding charities that change lives every day. Our teams fundraise, volunteer, and take part in community projects across the UK.
Our flagship charity event is The Bash. It is the biggest event in our calendar. Each year it raises between £80,000 and £100,000 for good causes. Our clients, partners, and people come together to make a real difference.
Our governance framework underpins everything we do. We operate to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards. We hold SIA Approved Contractor and NSI Gold status. Our systems are independently audited. Our supply chain is vetted to BS7858 standards. Our clients receive clear KPI and compliance reporting.
For you, this means lower risk, stronger resilience, and a partner that protects more than buildings. It means a partner that protects people, supports communities, and operates with integrity at every level.

Doddie Weir OBE was one of rugby’s most recognisable personalities, winning championships, representing the British and Irish Lions, and earning 61 caps for Scotland during his career. In June 2017, he revealed he had Motor Neuron Disease (MND), and set up the foundation to help fellow sufferers and further research into the disease. The number “5” features in the Foundation’s name as it was Doddie’s playing number for his clubs, Melrose and Newcastle Falcons, and the jersey he wore when he earned his 61 caps for Scotland.

In November 2025, colleagues, friends, and family members came together to take part in our Movember Walk, raising awareness for Movember, the global charity dedicated to improving men’s health outcomes. Movember focuses on some of the most pressing challenges affecting men today, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
