At Portal Security, we are deeply passionate about the prevention of violence against women and girls. This is an issue we take seriously and one we remain committed to addressing. We will continue to raise awareness, challenge harmful behaviours and contribute to positive, lasting change. As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety women in our industry, we were proud to support the following movements:
Violence Against Women and Girls
VAWG is a initiative focused on raising awareness, promoting prevention and encouraging action to tackle violence against women and girls in communities and workplaces.
Portal work alongside groups such as City of London Crime Prevention Association, UK Safer City and EIDA to align ourselves to fully support our employees in solidifying our dedication to facilitating our zero tolerance to any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination or any behavior that undermines the safety of women and girls.
We attend subject matter webinars and countrywide events to keep ourselves up to date and engaged.
Women’s Aid
Women’s Aid is a national charity dedicated to supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse through refuge, advocacy and specialist support services.
In September 2025, Women’s Aid ran a ‘Step Forward For Survivors Challenge’ – this was to raise awareness and funds for survivors of domestic abuse. Participants were encouraged to commit to walking or running a total of 60 miles throughout the month.
Portal Security had a total of 23 members taking part in the challenge. We raised £1’982 across 102 donors. Portal exceeded their step goal with a total of 2,227 miles which streamlined us into first place out of 123 teams.
For us, this wasn’t just a charity initiative, it was a reflection of what we believe in, protecting people’s dignity, safety, and hope.
