Portal Security invests heavily in the continuous development of our people across the UK. Our training programmes go far beyond basic compliance and focus on real-world operational performance.

Every officer receives site-specific induction and risk briefings before deployment. Our teams are trained in situational awareness and behavioural detection to identify early warning signs and prevent incidents before they escalate.

We deliver emergency response training, including First Person on Scene medical capability, CPR, trauma care, catastrophic bleed control, incident management and much more. This ensures our officers can act decisively during critical first response moments.

Our officers complete scenario-based training covering evacuations, lockdowns, and major incident response in dynamic threat environments.

We regularly deliver joint training exercises with emergency services and intelligence partners to strengthen preparedness and coordinated response.

We also run our own Leadership and Development Programme, building the next generation of supervisors, managers, and operational leaders. This year-long programme focuses on leadership, decision-making, professional standards, and operational excellence.
